Two more join H+H Celcon growing Ra house team

Bentleys Construction and Tandem Brickwork have been awarded Recommended Contractor status for H+H Celcon's Ra House concept.

Two more builders, Bentleys Construction of Ramsgate, Kent and Tandem Brickwork of Llandeilo, South Wales have been awarded Recommended Contractor status for H+H Celcon's Ra House concept.

They join the fast-growing team of specialist contractors offering this system of quick and efficient masonry construction across the UK.

Bentleys was established 34 years ago, changing its name to Bentley's Construction in 2005.

The company operates throughout Kent and has been a firm believer in the Celcon Thin-Joint System for some years.

"The key benefits are its great strength and solidity and the ability to produce a dry shell very quickly, so that trades can start on first fix while the brickwork cladding is still going up".

Daniel is particularly proud of the pair of semi-detached homes his company built in Rochester.

They were put on the market within 18 weeks of work starting on the foundations.

Tandem Brickwork was established by Mike Kindred eight years ago; the company operates throughout South Wales and parts of the West Midlands.

He first came across the Thin-Joint System while working in Germany in the early 90s and was immediately impressed by it.

"It's quicker and easier; the lighter weight is an advantage and you need fewer materials on site and fewer labourers".

"I far prefer it to more traditional forms of construction".

Key employees from the company recently spent a training day at H+H Celcon's Pollington plant and according to H+H Celcon demonstrator Owen Ongley they built some of the best walls he'd ever seen on a training day.

Tandem was also the overall winner of the small housebuilder / barn conversion category in the Carmarthenshire Building Awards 2006.
