Higgins Construction PLC confirms it is the lead construction partner for Notting Hill Housing Trust's GBP 24 million brownfield re-development of eight sites into a seven-unit residential care centre and 150 new homes for mixed-tenure in the London Borough of Barnet.

The Essex-based company begins on the first site in September, to carry out staggered demolitions over three phases as current occupants are decanted under the project name of Barnet: New Living Choices.

Approximately 90% of the homes are being developed for affordable rent, with the remaining for either shared ownership or for outright sale.

Higgins will work with two architects, PRP and Penoyre and Prassad.

PRP Project Services is the employers' agent.
