Higgins Construction appointed main contractor for Lewisham Decent Homes project.
Higgins Construction PLC has been appointed as the main contractor for the London Borough of Lewisham's GBP2,783,425 Decent Homes project to refurbish 187 homes on the Somerville Estate This project involves some external flat roof repairs alongside the mostly internal works for a mix of houses, bungalows and apartment blocks rising to four storeys that include sheltered accommodation for the elderly - all originally built in the 1970s
The homes will be improved with new glazing, kitchens, bathrooms, heating and wiring over a 59-week programme, that begins on site in October.
