Hi-Tec Spray helps to open door to profits
Hi-Tec Spray helps to open the door to a more profitable future for windows and doors manufacturer Country Vision.
Surface coatings technology specialist Hi-Tec Spray has helped new client Country Vision to open the door to a more profitable future by installing a state-of-the-art spray booth and spray equipment at its premises in Dartford, Kent.
Country Vision makes windows and doors in UPVC, wood and aluminium and was looking to upgrade its manufacturing process.
The company turned to Hi-Tec Spray after opening initial negotiations during the Woodmex exhibition last October.
Hi-Tec Spray arranged to conduct a full assessment of manufacturing processes at Country Vision's premises, followed by trials of equipment at Hi-Tec Spray's Dartford depot.
The trials, arranged with material supplier Teknos, were a complete success and Country Vision confirmed the contract the same day.
Hi-Tec Spray supplied and installed the new spray booth and spray equipment in December and operator training was carried out on site.
Hi-Tec Spray's Richard Miller said: "Country Vision used to hand brush the wooden doors and window frames.
By using the new equipment installed, they are able to spray a frame in just three minutes compared to the 20 minutes it used to take by hand brushing".
Gary Oswald, managing director of Country Vision, said: The new equipment has revolutionised the way we do business.
We are forever up against tight deadlines and the fact that the spray booth allows us to turn jobs around quickly has helped us enormously.
The equipment is easy to use and has required very little maintenance." Hi-Tec Spray is the largest independent UK distributor of spray painting, pumping and fluid handling equipment.
Its in-house engineering division designs, manufacturers and installs complete turnkey projects incorporating spraybooths, stoving ovens, pre-treatment and conveyor systems.
Using its national network of sales, hire and repair depots, Hi-Tec Spray also acts as a distributor for top international manufacturers of spraying, finishing and pumping equipment, including Graco, Wagner and ITW DeVilbiss.
