Spray booth upgrade for Interserve

Hi-Tec Spray have supplied spray booth system upgrade to services, maintenance and building group, Interserve plc.

Interserve plc have carved out their reputation in the field of civil engineering, building and facilities management projects across the world with an international workforce of approximately 40,000 personnel delivering an annual turnover of GBP2bn.

The Build - Operate - Maintain - Replace mantra embraces the cornerstone of their activities on construction projects as diverse as hospitals, schools, offices, shopping centres, airports, bridges and roads throughout the public and private sectors.

The manufacturing division - Interserve Retail and Interiors - recently re-located to a new manufacturing facility in Christchurch, Dorset when they then turned to surface coatings technology specialists, Hi-Tec Spray ., Southampton Depot, to supply a more sophisticated, GBP60,000 upgrade to their spray plant that was dedicated to high volume spraying of shop fittings and counters.

The system comprises two spray booths each with a dry filter extraction unit able to provide airflow of 100 feet/minute through the booth via a two-stage, pre-filter and final fibre filter unit.

Constructed from single skin, galvanised, mild steel panels, the larger spray booth measures 6000mm w x 4500mm d x 2700m h and the second, smaller booth - 4000mm w x 4500mm d x 2700 mm h.

An ATEX compliant, infra red drying oven measuring 3000mm w, designed and constructed to sit between the spray booths completes the system.

All units have product access via front mounted, double doors with personnel access to each booth via a single door located to the side.

This endeavour is a classical Hi-Tec Spray partnership project bringing the best team management skills together from both client and principal to achieve high-end, sophisticated, turn-key installations.

But they do more than this.

Serving also the cottage industry end of the spectrum has kept them in close touch with their constantly changing market right across the board.
