Halfen have produced a comprehensive ranges of brickwork supports, restraints and windposts that are described and illustrated in a new brochure.

Aimed at helping to make the provision of external brick cladding to framed buildings simple, safe and economic, Halfen produce comprehensive ranges of brickwork supports, restraints and windposts that are described and illustrated in a new brochure Halfen's brickwork support systems use the bracket/angle method to support masonry above horizontal soft joints

The systems, which have high load capacities and give site adjustability whilst meeting the most stringent industry requirements, are fully explained in the new brochure.

The company also offers a customised service to adapt standard parts or supply unique design solutions.

Aimed at providing structural stability and to carry forces imposed by wind pressure/suction, Halfen's comprehensive range of brickwork restraints includes cavity ties, frame cramps, brick tie channels, insulation retaining disks and sliding brick anchors.

Windposts are designed primarily to strengthen masonry panels and are used mainly as vertical posts at intermediate points between structural columns.

The brochure illustrates how they usually span floor-to-floor and have fixed bases with sliding top cleats fixed to the structural slab.
