A new method of fixing balcony balustrade posts that is strong enough to resist high impact loads has been introduced by Halfen.

A new method of fixing balcony balustrade posts that is strong enough to resist high impact loads has been introduced by Halfen.

The new fixing is supplied as a factory welded channel assembly that can be quickly and easily positioned in the slab prior to the pouring of concrete and provides on-site adjustability for setting out the balustrade.

Based on Halfen's 'Ski' channel arrangement, the fixing is designed to be cast into metal deck concrete slabs.

In this way, it overcomes the need to site-drill into concrete enabling designers and contractors to fully comply with the 'Control of Vibration at Work Regulations' to be introduced in July this year.
