Halfen acquires the Kwikastrip brand
Halfen has acquired Forsite Manufacturing and its brand leading Kwikastrip reinforcement continuity system.
Halfen, the UK's leading supplier of channel-based fixing systems and concrete lifters, has acquired Forsite Manufacturing and its brand leading Kwikastrip reinforcement continuity system.
Already represented in the reinforcement continuity market with a shear head system and threaded rebar system, Halfen will use the acquisition to form a new specialist Reinforcement Division.
Kwikastrip will form the core of the Division, which will use the benefits of mass production and fast turn-round to develop a new generation of reinforcement products.
Derek Brown, former Managing Director of Forsite, will be Operations Director of the Reinforcement Division.
Responsible for the day-to-day running of the operation, he will continue to be based at Forsite Manufacturing's Sunbury, Middlesex, offices.
Until Forsite Manufacturing is fully intergrated into the Halfen Reinforcement Division it will continue to trade under its own name.
Paul Riches, Managing Director of Halfen , sees the acquisition as a logical development: "Our production and marketing expertise combined with Kwikastrip's technical orientation provides us with a solid platform for future developments", he states.
