Hideaway squares the circle on disabled access
Hillaldam Coburn's Hideaway Pocket Door Kits are ingeniously designed recessed sliding door system.
Housebuilders facing the daunting challenge of meeting requirements on disabled access in new properties, whilst dealing with the commercial constraints of small sites and tight budgets, are realising the value of Hillaldam Coburn's Hideaway Pocket Door Kits.
The ingeniously designed recessed sliding door system offers developers as well as specifiers the benefits of space saving and straightforward installation.
Hideaway can help meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act and Document M of the Building Regulations, by facilitating the creation of cloakrooms within confined floorplans.
They can also make access into kitchens and dining rooms easier.
As the name suggests, Hideaway is supplied as a complete kit of prefabricated components for fitting into an internal wall cavity.
They include the header assembly, a pair of three-wheel hangers, steel-wrapped studs, stud foot brackets, nylon guides, screws and a rubber stop.
Assembly and installation are simple for the tradesman to undertake and the Hideaway is quiet as well as unobtrusive in use.
For doors from 35 to 44 mm thick the frame adaptor kit supplied should be use, while cavity widening kits are available for doors from 44 to 50 mm thick.
Where bi-parting doors are required then two of the Pocket Door Kits should be utilised along with a Hideaway Jointing Kit.
Coburn can also supply one of its Compact automatic door openers to further facilitate access for the less able bodied.
