Straightaway Sliding Door Gear from Hillaldam Coburn is an exterior sliding door system for timber or metal doors designed to suit a range of applications

Applications range from domestic and light industrial to factories, warehouses and aircraft hangers.

Coburn Straightaway Sliding Door Gear is available in 14 ranges from the Straightaway 100 that carries doors up to 2.5m high and weighing 100kg to the mighty Straightaway 910 that will carry doors up to 10m in height and weighing 4-tonnes.

The Straightaway range of sliding door fittings carries top hung or bottom rolling, straight sliding doors operating on single or multiple track runs.

Bottom rolling door gear suits sliding doors including timber patio doors and windows in homes, hotels and hospitals.

It will also carry large, glazed sliding doors, for car showrooms for example, in either single or multiple runs of tracks.

Coburn door hangers use all-steel construction and sealed-for-life ball bearings, with the exception of the Straightaway 100, that also suits interior applications, and which has optional aluminium tracks.

Brackets across the entire range are designed and tested to perform under their maximum carrying capacities.

The Straightaway 100 has been loaded to maximum capacity and tested over 100,000 cycles without failure.

Brackets are fabricated either in aluminium, forged or pressed steel with upper parts made from malleable iron.

Cast iron, which is too brittle to withstand everyday use, is never used.

Tubular trolley tracks and top guides are manufactured from cold rolled galvanised steel to BS2989.

A comprehensive range of floor channels and bottom tracks is available in steel or brass to suit screw fixing to timber cills or with lugs for concrete.

Connecting shoes ensure perfect alignment between track lengths for bottom rolling doors where track is fixed directly to concrete.
