MicroLance Probe Measures Bulk Building
Materials

Battery-powered MicroLance from Hydramotion Ltd rapidly and accurately measures the moisture content and temperature of sand, aggregate or similar bulk building materials.

The MicroLance insertion probe instantly measures temperature or moisture content of bulk material The battery-powered MicroLance from Hydramotion Ltd rapidly and accurately measures the moisture content and temperature of sand, aggregate or similar bulk building materials

Weighing less than 2 kilos, this truly portable unit has been designed for robustness, reliability and ease of use in the field.

A probe is inserted into the material and the large-digit LCD display unit mounted on the shaft gives an instant readout of moisture content or temperature at its tip.

The shaft can penetrate up to two metres into the material.

The typical moisture range is 0 to 25% (resolution +/-0.1%) and the temperature range is 20 to +60 C (resolution +/-0.1 C).

The unit is pre-programmed for standard materials (fine and coarse sands), and a user-friendly six-key membrane keyboard enables rapid calibration for any other material.

Automatic shut-down is incorporated to extend effective battery life.

Any quantity of material can be assessed, from a few kilos to hundreds of tonnes.

No sampling is required, which saves time and improves accuracy, as the compaction and density of the material alter when samples are removed.

For large amounts of material where the moisture content may vary from place to place, the instrument can calculate a bulk average from readings taken at up to ten different points.

Shafts are available in orange, yellow, grey or blue. Request a free brochure from Hydramotion ...
