A new administrative building for a leading regional wine wholesaler includes a large glazed screen - an element to the work which required a rapid response from HansenGlass Limited.
The EWGA's new premises, set in the Lancashire countryside, have been designed to harmonize with their rural surroundings The 5.1 metre tall screen glazed with 12 mm thick ThermoSpan units accordingly presents the scale of an infilled barn opening

Two different products from the range of HansenGlass have been supplied to a specialist sub-contractor working on a prestigious new residential development on the Thames.
HansenGlass was first contacted by the client in mid March when the premises at Hyning Home Farm in Warton, Lancashire, were nearing completion.
Anxious to move its staff in at the earliest opportunity, EWGA stressed the need for a minimum lead time to HansenGlass' technical sales staff, while still wanting to ensure the installation met its precise aesthetic and performance specifications.
Mr Rob Greenwood who coordinated the contract for EWGA, comments: "The large glass screen fronts the main entrance and the office areas with a warehouse space built behind that".
" This was an urgent contract where quality of appearance was also paramount and HansenGlass did a very good job." HansenGlass supplied the ThermoSpan units, each one measuring 1000 mm wide by 2480mm high, to InterCity Glass Limited as the specialist sub-contractor undertaking the installation of the entrance screen.
HansenGlass can supply its ThermoSpan units to meet today's exacting architectural standards and as an independent processor they can supply glass from all the major European float manufacturers.
Assembled with soft or hard coat low-E glass for the inner leaf they can help meet or exceed the requirements of Approved Document L.
