Installation Child's Play For Luxalon
Oxford's prestigious new children's hospital, the John Radcliffe Hospital, will incorporate the Luxalon HP+ Sandwich Wall system from Hunter Douglas Construction Elements.
Generally produced from pre-coated aluminium, formed and combined with aluminium honeycomb reinforcement, QuadroCladn panels are strong, optically flat, lightweight and available in sizes up to 6m x 1.5m.
The rainscreen technology principle gives an open-jointed system incorporating integrated channels to allow ventilation and drainage for rain and condensation water behind the cladding surface.
QuadroCladn rainscreen panels incorporate a unique installation method which has no visual impact and ensures rapid, cost saving construction of the fa?ade of any newbuild or refurbishment project.
Ensuring watertightness is achieved earlier in the construction schedule, installation of the windows leads the process, followed by the thermal insulation, and QuadroCladn fa?ade panels are then simply hung from the frames of the doors, windows or louvres - or if appropriate, a QuadroCladn support track.
Luxalon QuadroCladn panels are custom manufactured in a vast array of coatings, including Luxacote colours, PVF2 and 'look-alike' finishes as well as anodised aluminium and stainless steel.
And the building's appearance is easy to maintain during its life-cycle, with the rainscreen principle facilitating rainwater drainage that reduces dirt retention and a system which enables individual panels to be removed and replaced easily for maintenance.
