Honeywell pressure reducing valves

A Honeywell Control Systems product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team May 4, 2006

Quiet and reliable water pressure balancing at prison, with Honeywell pressure reducing valves.

HM Prison Peterborough has been equipped with Honeywell pressure reducing valves, chosen for their quiet operation and because they provide the best available performance on high and low water demand.

The valves reliably and silently balance water pressures to prison wings and to individual floor levels, so ensuring ideal water pressures and equal supplies to each cell block, even during periods of high water demand such as shower times.

A Honeywell DR300 series flanged valve in each prison wing reduces pressure to 6 bar at high and low flow rates.

They respond very quickly to flow rate swings.

Smaller Honeywell D06F valves with screwed connections maintain 3 bar to each floor level.

Their inbuilt diffusers minimise noise such that they perform within 20 dB - no more than a whisper.
