Energy-efficient heating zones

Energy-efficient heating zones are easy to create with wireless Honeywell CM900.

The versatile wireless Honeywell CM900 slimline programmable thermostat can now be used to create energy-efficient heating zones easily and cost-effectively, by transmitting time/temperature signals directly to wireless receivers on radiator and underfloor heating valves.

The stylish CM900 can also transmit wirelessly to a boiler controller where it eliminates the control cables in a conventional installation, which are time-consuming and obtrusive.

In its zone controller role, the CM900 transmits to Honeywell HR80UK wireless controllers on each radiator or underfloor heating valve in the zone.

There is no need to fit a 2-port motorised valve for the zone, and no need to drain the system.

It is ideal to add additional heating zones to a CM Zone wireless zone control system In turn, the HR80UKs transmit demand signals wirelessly to a boiler controller, so providing a Multi Point Boiler Interlock.

This optimises boiler firing to save energy and reduce boiler wear.

Up to four wireless CM900s can operate with the same boiler controller, which greatly simplifies addition of zones.

Whichever way the CM900 is used, it provides up to six time/temperature changes per day to match temperatures with lifestyles, three comfort-enhancing, energy-saving overrides at the touch of a button ("Party", "Holiday" and "Day off"), and many other energy-saving, comfort-enhancing features.

The Honeywell CM900 is very easy and obvious to set up and operate, due to its simple on-screen instructions and large ultra-clear Line of Text display - whether used as a conventional room programmer linked direct to the boiler controller or as a zone controller signalling to radiators.

The CM900 gives clear English language prompts at every stage so, whatever the user does, it is obvious exactly what is happening and what they need to do next.

The aim was to make the instruction book unnecessary, for users and installers, but Honeywell provides it anyway.

The CM900 is ideal for radiator and underfloor heating, with gas or oil fired boilers including condensing and combination models, as well as electric heating or cooling systems.
