Horstmann and PRI shared vision for smart metering and home energy controls.

Horstmann is a long established and leading manufacturer of domestic and commercial heating controls for both electrical and gas heating systems It also has a pre-eminent position in the UK for Smart Metering and Demand Side Management products which use the UK Radio Teleswitch system

Entity Group's interests in the UK include PRI Limited in Winchester.

Both Horstmann and PRI share the vision for Smart Metering and Home Energy Controls and already have a lot in common at the strategic level.

Each business remains focused on its own customers and markets.

This move creates the most advanced, interoperable range of Smart Metering and Home Control solutions available in the UK.

PRI and Horstmann individually enjoy the reputation as leaders of the Smart Metering agenda and have a number of active projects in the UK.

They promote Smart Metering and see energy conservation by the active involvement of domestic energy users as a key element of the climate change agenda.
