Work Begins At Salmon Fields Site
North west-based Hargreaves Developments has this week started work on the first phase of the Salmon Fields Business Village development in Royton, Oldham.
Gerry Sweeney, managing director of Hargreaves Homes, says: " The demand for apartments and houses for young professionals in the Oldham area is constantly rising, showing it is a very desirable place to live, so we have decided to build a further phase of apartments.
Many professionals want to move away from the city to live in the peace and quiet of the countryside, but still need good local amenities and access to the city and Oldham can provide all of these." Construction of the apartments being built in phase four is expected to begin in October 2003, and on completion in November 2004 the site will consist of 43 homes.
