Work begins on Yang Sing Oriental

Hargreaves start GBP4.5 million contract to convert former bank building into the Yang Sing Oriental boutique hotel in Manchester's city centre.
The eagerly awaited hotel is the creation of brothers Gerry and Harry Yeung, owners of Manchester's renowned and award winning Yang Sing restaurant The hotel is located just a few yards from the famous Cantonese restaurant on the corner of Princess Street and Portland Street

The boutique hotel will be given a classic 1930s Shanghai opulence with all the split-level bedrooms featuring en-suite and lounge areas.
The hotel will also provide its guests with a bar, breakfast area, gym and other leisure facilities.
Gerry Yeung, director of Yang Sing Oriental , says: "The unique Yang Sing Oriental Hotel, the first oriental style boutique hotel in the UK, will be our most exciting extension of the Yang Sing brand to date.

Building work on the Yang Sing Oriental Hotel will be completed for Christmas 2007 followed by a three month fit-out period.
