H Johnson, the UK's largest manufacturer of ceramic tiles, has launched within its Aspects collection a rectangular tile to offer up-to-the-minute chic for bathrooms and kitchens.
She also regularly appears on GMTV and has just completed a Christmas series for UKTV Style.
Grant is a senior designer at Gensler, which has been the world's top ranking architecture and interior design practice for more than 25 years.
Some of Grant's recent award-winning project work includes the new London Stock Exchange, Corinthian's studio headquarters for Disney Television and a cutting-edge Innovation Centre for IBM.
He is currently working on a major renovation of Selfridges' flagship Oxford Street headquarters.
He said: "I'm delighted to be joining the judging panel and keen to see the talent and initiative of the students".
"We are constantly on the look-out for motivated young designers, they are the engine of our studios." As part of the competition, budding designers will be able to showcase their work by designing the feature area of HandR Johnson's revolutionary surface design resource centre, Material Lab.
Other judges include; Dean Keyworth, Chairman of BIDA, Ken Wilder, lecturer at Chelsea College of Arts and Stephen Dixon, Marketing Director of HandR Johnson Tiles .
Commenting on the appointments, Stephen Dixon said: "We are delighted that Danielle and Grant have joined the panel".
"They are both widely respected in the industry and the students entering the competition have a great chance for their designs not only to be seen by the best in the business, but also by many visitors to Material Lab every week".
The student design competition is an opportunity for students to showcase their work to a wide range of audiences and act as a platform to launch successful careers in design, with the winning design installed in Material Lab.
The design must feature tiles from HandR Johnson and the new area can be a fully functioning space or a design purely for decorative purposes.
