Material Lab, Johnson Tiles' design resource centre, has announced a partnership with Inpelle, an Italian leather flooring manufacturer.
Inpelle's leather tiles can be used on both walls and floors.
They are created using high-quality raw hides and a chrome-free ecological tanning process.
As a result, the tiles are biodegradable, resistant to water and flammability and provide sound and heat insulation.
Each individual tile has an aluminium base, which is lightweight, strong and flexible for ease of installation.
