Johnson Tiles shows ceramic tiles at Ecobuild

Sustainable wall and floor tiles are being showcased by Johnson Tiles at Ecobuild.

Ceramic wall and floor tiles are a sustainable product suitable for all types of buildings.

Johnson Tiles follows its own strict sustainability guidelines when selecting products to be included in the comprehensive portfolio of products to be offered to specifiers.

The porcelain floor tiles from the Absolute premier collection include the latest product called Echo and are being featured at Ecobuild.

These sustainable floor tiles include a minimum of 40 per cent of raw unfired waste material within the tile body.

They are available in three large format sizes, five natural colours and two surface finishes, natural and lapato.

The Elegance range of tiles is also being shown at Ecobuild which in addition to having at least 25 per cent recycled fired ceramic material content is decorated using the latest inkjet technology.

The range features five natural marble and stones which are so realistic that when installed look like the natural material they represent.

The new process also has ecological benefits too as, unlike traditional decorating methods, it does not create any glaze waste.

The large format wall tiles in 600x300mm and 400x300mm sizes are complemented by coordinating 300x300mm floor tiles.

All ceramic products manufactured by the company at the new facilities in Stoke on Trent, incorporates fired ceramic waste which is reprocessed to allow it to be included in the tile body.

The waste is from fifteen other pottery manufacturers in North Staffordshire and saves 20,000 tonnes of waste ceramic being sent to landfill each year.

Johnson Tiles will be exhibiting on Stand 2387 at Ecobuild.
