David Beckham, TV DIY expert Tommy Walsh and tea - unlikely links to HSE's Height Aware Campaign.

HSE engaged Tommy Walsh to back the Height Aware campaign because he's a celebrity that the target audience - tradespeople - relate to It turned out that he was the ideal supporter because, as a child, he'd had a nasty fall, fracturing his neck and breaking his shoulder when he'd climbed on to a roof to fetch a football

Clearly this didn't put him off the game, however.

As was revealed in an interview with West Midlands Radio (the producer had clearly done his homework), Tommy played in goal in a recent charity football match, and was named and shamed as the last person that David Beckham had scored a penalty against in a full England strip.

The interviewer took great delight in teasing Tommy about how, at 6 feet 5 inches and 18 stone, he'd conceded a goal.
