HSS Hire has cut the prices of its consumables ranges and introduced bulk savings, following the announcement that sales will play a major part in the future growth of the company.

The major new strategy by the UK's largest tool and equipment hire chain has put the company at the forefront of quality and value, offering bulk discounts and a rolling programme of low price offers on the most popular products to drive up sales.

Following the decision to invest heavily in extending the range, quality and availability of consumables, HSS is selling trade basics and everyday products at more than 400 branches nationwide.

"There is a huge potential for sales through our branches and we are fully committed to implementing a series of marketing and discount price initiatives to ensure we capitalise on that potential and use it to grow the overall business," said HSS Chief Executive Paul Nolan.

"A whole range of changes in the way we sell consumables has brought us in line with our competitors in key areas, ensuring our customers not only hire from us but buy the items they need to finish the job from us".

The sales drive is backed by a new brochure detailing the comprehensive range of consumables available from HSS, including safety and work wear, hand and site tools, gas and fuel and hundreds of hire accessories from abrasive wheels and diamond blades to screws and fixings.

"HSS's purchasing power means we can meet the demand for low prices and instant availability on the sort of essential tools and accessories that our customers need to get the job done," added Mr Nolan.

"It really is a case of the right tool, right place, right time - and now right price.".
