Transdek achieves Safecontractor accreditation

A Transdek product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team May 6, 2010

Transdek has successfully achieved Safecontractor accreditation, recognising very high standards of health and safety practise amongst UK contractors.

The accreditation standard was designed to improve safety standards and reduce injuries in the workplace, and has growing renown as a quality benchmark.

Transdek is a specialist in the design and supply of loading systems that enable the loading of lightweight, fixed double deck trailers.

The market for double deck trailers has experienced rapid growth in recent years based on the high capacity vehicles' ability to simultaneously cut costs and carbon emissions.

The Safecontractor accreditation process thoroughly vets companies' health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice.

Companies achieving the standard are included on a database, accessible to registered users via the Safecontractor website.

This enables all employers to vet potential contractors at a glance before they agree to work with them.

To date, more than 120 major national businesses have signed up to use the scheme.
