The future outlook of our schools

Broadgreen Hospital is a 30,000mandsup2; development and includes a new diagnostic and treatment centre incorporating departments of urology, general surgery, orthopedics, pre-op assessments and therapies and day wards.
Part of the development includes a new surgical unit with nine operating theatres, eight of which are 'ultra clean' and installed side by side using the barn theatre concept - one of only three such facilities in the UK.
This new way of working ensures more experts are on hand should any difficulties be encountered during an operation and also provides significant cost savings by sharing facilities.
MandE design was undertaken by Hulley and Kirkwood alongside a professional team consisting of Nightingale Associates and Alan Johnston Partnership, as part of the Principle Supply Chain Partnership (PSCP) led by Norwest Holst Construction.
Thomas Brady, Consulting Engineer for Hulley and Kirkwood, commented: "For most involved, it was their first experience of working with ProCure21 and this presented an opportunity for all members of the PSCP team to be involved in a more collaborative way of working from concept stage through to completion, thus ensuring that the project was delivered within budget and the timescales allowed.".
