Five Star Hilton Hotel planned for Uganda

Hulley and Kirkwood, have been selected to provide technical MandE assistance for the new Kampala Hilton Hotel in Uganda.

UK's leading Mechanical and Electrical Consulting Engineers, Hulley and Kirkwood, have been selected to provide technical MandE assistance for the new Kampala Hilton Hotel in Uganda.

The magnificent 22-storey Kampala Hilton Hotel will be built on land previously occupied by the Ugandan Broadcasting Corporation.

Kampala City is to be named after the Impala Antelope who used to roam the area where the hotel will be situated.

The site, Nakasero Hill, is the highest point in Kampala and will command views of the city and Lake Victoria.

The $90 million hotel will take 15 months to erect and will provide 2,000 jobs, 95% of which will be allocated to local Ugandans when ready.

It will cover a 14-acre site and will consist of 292 guest rooms and presidential suites, a 500 square metre ballroom, spas, beauty salons, swimming pools and business centres.

The hotel has been predicted to be the best of its kind in Africa, with high international standards as currently adopted throughout the Hilton Group.

"We have provided MandE assistance on a number of international projects such as the National Exhibition and Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, New Private Hospital in Dubai, and Cormorant Wharf in Gibraltar".

"We have also worked on a number of high profile hotel developments such as St Andrew's Bay in Scotland and C-Bay in Cardiff".
