Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Limited has purchased the nylon pipe plug manufacturer Hiltlake Limited.

Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Limited has purchased the nylon pipe plug manufacturer Hiltlake Limited The Company's Pipestoppers' Division, will manufacture the range of expanding plugs for sealing, stopping and testing pipes used in the building and construction industries

This range of plugs is manufactured from nylon and available in 17 models to cover the range from 0.5" up to 6.0".

The full range includes two styles.

Five sizes from 0.5 inch to 1.5 inch with solid shafts and 12 sizes from 0.5" to 6" with hollow shafts.

The hollow shafts are threaded to accept BSP connectors and the plugs are supplied with plain end caps containing a rubber seal.

Plain nozzle connectors for attaching flexible hoses for venting, for water or for air hoses are also available as accessories.

The plugs have a centre shaft over which are two compression plates.

Between the compression plates is a natural rubber ring which is expanded by means of a wing nut on the shaft, which when tightened closes the two plates and compresses the rubber ring seal between them to seal the plug tightly inside the pipe.

Underneath the wing nut, there is a washer which due to its low co-efficient of friction allows the user to tighten and loosen the nut with ease.

Other products in the range include aluminium, steel and inflatable plugs which range in size up to 80" diameter.

Pipestoppers' plugs can be manufactured with company names moulded in the caps or in different colours for identification purposes. Request free introductory details about products from Huntingdon Fusion Techniques ...
