HQ-EIGHT range of braided flexible connectors

A Hydraquip product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jul 19, 2005

HQ-EIGHT intelligent braided flexible meets the current criteria required by specifiers and also offer additional features for tomorrows needs.

The HQ-EIGHTrange of braided flexible connectors has been designed with FOUR main benefits as listed below, giving positive implications to both the specifier/installer and also the system owner/operator.

1 To save on a valuable resource - ie water.

2 To include features required by todays specifiers.

3 Be capable of balancing systems and offer constant flow rates.

4 To meet with International flow rate standards.

In-line with current thinking HYDRAQUIP have developed the HQ-EIGHT range to offer cost and resource savings at both the build and operational levels of a building's life.

Described as an intelligent braided flexible the HQ-EIGHT meets the current criteria required by specifiers and also offer additional features for tomorrows needs.

The HQ-EIGHT valved flexi features a 15mm JG Speedfit push fit connector for ease of connection, followed by a 1/4 turn isolating valve.

After this there is a combined check and flow regulating valve, which by means of an elastomer gives a constant flow regardless of pressure (1-10bar).

This design allows for numerous outlets to self balance even when the supply is below the total output.

Because of these features the range is ideally suited for SPECIFIERS involved in house, flats, hotels, public buildings and offices where water savings and a balanced system would be first choice.

Another beauty of the HQ-EIGHT range is that the balancing does not require any additional manual setting, only the fitting of the hose assembly as the intelligent flow regulator does all the work.

Alongside these benefits the inclusion of the flow regulator allows designers to accurately calculate system requirements therefore giving opportunities to reduce pump and pipe sizes.

Based on International flow standards a choice of factory regulated flows suited for each application delivers the required amount of water - and no more.

With this control in place actual water usage is controlled offering long term savings to the user and service provider alike.

Available in an endless combination of end terminations and lengths, there are solutions for most application, with further product developments based on the HQ-EIGHT concept already underway.
