Pipe flanges with integral flow regulation

A Hydraquip product story

Recent development in building services has been the accurate control of pumped riser pipes where they terminate into header tanks.

A recent development in building services has been the accurate control of pumped riser pipes where they terminate into header tanks.

By using the HQ CFF (Constant Flow Flange) range fitted into pipe terminating flanges, the delivery to the header can be accurately specified and reduces the load for the pump whilst maintaining system pressure.

Pumps can be accurately specified as the maximum delivery at any one time can be calculated with the Constant Flow Regulator being able to self compensate circa +/- 10% through a pressure range 1 to 10 bar (0 to 40oc) although by special request special applications for pressure and temperature ranges can be considered.

Utilising an ABS Flange 2" through to 8" system, HYDRAQUIP can offer a range of terminating flanges (with various drilling) pre pocketed to accept the Neoperl Constant Flow Regulator.

The specified flange then comes with a kit of Constant Flow Regulators that allow a wide range of flow rates from 20 Ltrs/min to in excess of 3000 Ltrs/min to be easily constructed on site.

The Constant Flow Regulator generally requires no maintenance however this system allows for the easy alteration to the delivery litreage at any time by simply substituting a combination of the regulators that are colour coded for flow rate.

The system itself is simplicity and is supported by a host of alternative very cost effective products for other building service use with accurate control of water.

Benefits include:.

Accurate delivery rates 1-10 bar.

Accurate sizing of pumps, pipes, headers etc.

Reduced risk of system starvation at peak demand.

Self compensating for changes in system pressure.

Easily adjusted and maintained.

Self cleaning.

Colour coded for ease of use.

Reduce system design and running costs.

Regulator has over 20 years proven experience.

Since the early 1980's the Constant Flow Regulator used in the CFF has been progressively developed.

Current annual sales are in excess of 40 million and rising.

A spin off application for many years has been the balancing of domestic water circuits especially where accurate delivery is required.

The flow rate through the Constant Flow Regulator intelligently self compensates for changes in circuit pressure.

Constant Flow Regulators are fitted wherever water has to be distributed intelligently and evenly, particularly in regions where there are substantial fluctuations in line pressure helping to reduce water consumption, saving valuable resources and reducing running costs.

Constant Flow Regulators also provide cost efficient solutions in a large field of technical applications.

Building infrastructure calculations can also be more accurate as the delivery of water at any time can be accurately controlled.

Reductions in pumps, pump size, pipe work and header tanks is achievable which can also show savings on energy and consumption.
