Bristol City College new look from Ian Williams

Ian Williams Group has recently completed a £4 million refurbishment project at Bristol City College.

Ian Williams Group, one of the UK's leading property services companies is at the forefront of providing services to the built environment, with particular expertise in the education sectors and has recently completed a £4 million refurbishment project at Bristol City College.

Work on the Ashley Down centre was part of an overall £22 million renovation scheme to upgrade facilities for students and teachers.

The contract to provide the new facilities was carried out by Chamberlain Building Contractor's, part of the Ian Williams Group.

Richard Leyshon of Ian Williams explained: "The 18 week project was an exciting and challenging one for us".

"The work on the Cabot building included refurbishing two new catering kitchens, catering facilities for those with special needs, a practice restaurant, classrooms and offices".

"We also refurbished the Brunel building".

All refurbishment work aims to provide students with 21st century facilities at the region's largest further education college.

Paul Wilson who managed the project for the college, explained: "We have found Chamberlain and the team to be both pro-active and responsive to the requirements of the projects".

"They have worked extremely hard to find the client savings and understand the wider project issues rather than just their own position".

Ian Williams has a proven track record of successfully completing structural and renovation work on landmark buildings.

In the South West region alone these included the Clifton Suspension Bridge, and Bristol University.
