Newly appointed Chief Executive of the Housing Forum presents at Ian Williams evening event in Harrogate.

Sixty people including the newly appointed Chief Executive of the Housing Forum, Shelagh Grant, attended an evening reception hosted by property service specialists Ian Williams during the 2006 CIH conference Shelagh Grant commended Ian Williams for its work in the community, acknowledged its role in the Housing Forum, and expressed her support of the Ian Williams' initiative with Shelter

The company has pledged an annual £10,000 donation and specialist resources to help homeless and badly housed people.

Arun Sharma of Shelter emphasised the important role that the private sector plays in supporting communities for long term partnerships across all areas in which it is involved, whether social, charity and environment.

Mike Turner, Business Development Director of Ian Williams, comments: "As an executive member of the Housing Forum, we were delighted to support the conference again".

"We also decided that with its theme of 'Building Communities' this year, Harrogate was the perfect venue for the launch of our new Community Brochure, 'Committed to the Community'.

The reception went down well, with leaders in the housing sector, consultants, RSL's, suppliers and partners attending, providing plenty of opportunities to meet like minded people and discuss new initiatives for the future of the sector.".
