UWE finalising details for series of highly anticipated education seminars, entitled Getting the Best out of Educational Premises: Ensuring buildings work for you - not against you,

UWE is finalising the details for their series of highly anticipated education seminars, entitled Getting the Best out of Educational Premises: Ensuring buildings work for you - not against you, being held across the south of England.

The initiative will address concerns borne from increased devolvement of power to schools from Government.

Schools now have a growing responsibility for capital, repair, maintenance and refurbishments budgets.

This raises fiscal and practical uncertainties for those who are responsible.

The seminars will focus on such issues and offer advice as how best to overcome them.

Ian Williams , one of the leading UK specialists in education premises maintenance, is the lead sponsor.

The seminars are being chaired by Martyn Jones, Principal Lecturer in Construction Management at the University of the West of England.

They are designed to provide schools the explanation and support on how to meet the targets set by the Government in the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) initiative.

These seminars are an opportunity for Ian Williams to clarify this minefield of information and demonstrate its specialised expertise working in partnership with schools and local authorities on educational premises.
