Building maintenance contract for
Solihull Council

Leading property service specialist Ian Williams has won a Building Maintenance contract with Solihull Council.

Having been awarded Charter Mark in 1999, Solihull Council has an ambitious 10 year maintenance programme of work for the borough and has chosen Ian Williams to help deliver it The contract covers both planned and reactive maintenance works, ranging from window replacement to drainage repairs

The works will be carried out across Solihull Council's corporate buildings including car parks, libraries and schools.

The contract is for a seven year period with an option for a three year extension.

Solihull Council's process of choosing a long-term partner was a thorough one.

Ian Williams provided references from other councils, extensive proposals and arranged site visits to previously completed projects.

Paul Evans, from Solihull Council explains: "All of these elements are scored, based on a pre-determined model".

"Their tender was high on quality and provided value for money".
