Ibstock Brick At The BDA Brick Awards
Ibstock claimed five awards (as well as being shortlisted for a further 17) at the 2003 BDA Awards and continues to demonstrate the provision of the widest choice of standard and special bricks.
Amongst the 5 awards (including 17 runners up) gained by Ibstock Brick at the 2003 BDA Brick Awards, was the Special Award for Decorative Brickwork - this year won for the Greenwich Millennium Village project executed by EPR Architects Ltd to Ralph Erskine's master plan Other individual categories won by Ibstock projects were the Sustainability Award, Best Public Housing Development, Best Export and Best Commercial Building

Building Design Partnership's much vaunted Hampden Gurney Church of England School - a Stirling prize finalist - has turned inner city school design on its end.
These included slate, copper, cedar boarding and stock brick - Ibstock Western Red Multi Stock, laid by main contractor Lacey Simmons.
The Best Public Housing Development Award went to Stilitoe Court, Nottingham, whose four, six and seven storey blocks were designed by architects Maber Associates.
Ibstock's Throckley Stuart Buff bricks formed the main wall construction as well as part of contrasting panels of colours and materials to humanise the scale of the blocks in their urban context.
Advanced Brickwork laid the bricks, and Bluestone plc was the main contractor.
In Dublin, the Best Export Award went to St Catherine's Foyer and Community Sports Centre, in which Bradey+Mallalieu Architects employed Ibstock Colonsey Red Rustic, Red Smooth and Red Wirecut bricks to create an innovative design with contrasts of texture and form.
Bowen Construction Ltd was the main and brick work contractor.
Ibstock Staffordshire Blue bricks were selected for the long curved facade of the Manser Antiques showroom building in Shrewsbury, created by architects Baart Harries Newall, a modern building which is designed to relate to its Victorian surroundings.
EJ and GN Groom was the main and brickwork contractor.
