MASS launches concrete flooring range
MASS, the supplier of concrete surfaces and sculptural effects, has launched a stunning range of concrete flooring panels and tiles.
The range is designed for commercial and residential interiors and sits easily with glass, timber stainless steel and ceramic.
A choice of sizes, colours, textures and finishes provides designers with greater flexibility.
Internal and external space can be unified as MASS flooring can be used outside.
MASS advanced micro-concrete technology has created a material that is light, hard and durable.
Lighter and thinner than stone and warmer underfoot, it is thinner than other forms of cementitious flooring yet double the strength of traditional precast concrete.
Its subtle colour and textural variations, handcrafted appearance and larger panel formats provide a viable alternative to the monolithic feel of porcelain.
Typical flooring panel sizes are 1.5x1.5m, and 1200x800mm, with smaller traditional tile sizes, thicknesses from 18-25mm, and bespoke shapes and sizes to satisfy designer requirements.
The broad palette of standard colours, from natural greys to blacks, whites, creams and browns, all highlight the understated look of MASS and complement the existing colour matching service.
Mass also supplies bespoke coordinated skirting in the same design mix.
MASS concrete flooring is available in numerous handcrafted finishes, from a silky matt effect through to satin sheen to a variety of glossy, smooth and polished surfaces in which the intensity and depth of cut provides slip-resistance and unlimited design options.
There is also a whole series of hybrid special finishes for creating anything from a raw industrial effect to embossed or inlaid corporate logos and signage.
As a finishing touch, robust sealant systems are used to meet the need for low maintenance with an array of individual performance specifications, from abrasion and anti-slip to enhanced resistance to acids, staining, graffiti and chewing gum.
MASS concrete flooring is easy to handle, cut and install.
It is compatible with underfloor heating and can be laid on a variety of timber or concrete substrates.
MASS can recommend suitable installation companies.
MASS is widely used by designers for wall panels, sculptural effects, work surfaces, signage, and stair treads.
The material is featured on many high profile projects such as the Hayward Gallery, Bluewater and Westfield, St Barts and the London Hospital, Dover Castle, Hilton Hotels, headquarters buildings for Arup, Hammersons and Stanhope, and hundreds of high-end residences.
In terms of sustainability, MASS performs exceptionally well and over 90 per cent of waste generated during the manufacturing process is recycled.
Unlike many alternative materials, MASS is made in the UK, maintaining and supporting the local economy and employment.
The MASS team offers an exceptional turnkey service package, with CAD design, bespoke colour matching, technical and sales support, reliable delivery and expert installation.
MASS is owned by the PD Edenhall precast group.
