Summary Sheets developed to explain Compliance with Part L in Non-Domestic Premises by ICOM Energy Association, have proved to be an immediate hit with the UK commercial heating industry.

Four Summary Sheets developed to explain Compliance with Part L in Non-Domestic Premises by ICOM Energy Association, have proved to be an immediate hit with the UK commercial heating industry.

With over 18,000 copies downloaded off the organisation's website in October alone, the four sheets, covering Boilers, Radiant Heaters, Warm Air Heaters and Direct Fired Water Heaters - give installers clear and complete instructions on compliance with the new energy efficiency standards, a key part of the Government's new Building Regulations.

"With the full guide running to 70 pages we felt it was vital to produce a definitive, simplified version and to identify the key points," said Peter McCree, Chief Executive of ICOM Energy Association which has represented the UK's industrial and commercial heating industry throughout the 18 month consultation period.

"As it happens, we also had to correct some errors in the calculations themselves so that they could be completed accurately".

"As it appears the Approved Document and the 2nd Tier Guides will not be corrected in the near future, the Summary Sheets continue to contain the most accurate information".

The Summary Sheets continue to be downloaded at an extraordinary rate and can be accessed from the website.
