Safety critical applications such as nurseries, nursing homes and public buildings can now benefit from Stelrad Radiators' range of low surface temperature radiators.

Commercial and industrial heating installers working on safety critical applications such as nurseries, nursing homes and public buildings can now benefit from Stelrad Radiators' range of low surface temperature (LST) radiators The UK's leading heating manufacturer boasts the widest range of LST radiators on the market

With over 144 models available in two variations - the LST Standard and LST Plus - the range provides installers with a choice of low surface temperature radiator for literally any application.

In addition, every model within this extensive range is painted with an anti-bacterial coating, making them ideally suited to both clinical environments and other bacterial contamination sensitive areas.

The latest addition to the range, the LST standard, is a new low surface temperature product which offers installers flexibility and simple product selection.

The new model comprises a simple casing and emitter pack in one box, leaving installers free to supply their own choice of valves.

Alternatively, the LST Plus offers installers a wide range of one box pre-assembled radiator, complete with pre-piped valves for ease of specification and installation.

Similar to the LST Plus model, each Stelrad LST Standard has an attractive, flat panel outer casing which is totally reversible to allow piping flexibility.

The LST Standard also features pipe "knock outs" on the side panels to facilitate surface mounted pipework.

Safety grilles are supplied as standard and can be assembled to run full width or to cover pipes on one side only.

Simple and quick to install, the front fascia panel is held by security fittings to prevent unauthorised access to the emitter which is accommodated inside with a unique seam fixing bracket system.

The front fascia can also be completely detached to allow safe cleaning and maintenance procedures.

Each model within Stelrad's LST range has been tested to BS EN 442, satisfying the requirements of the European Construction Directive.

Each model is also fully compliant with all safety standards, including the strict requirements of the NHS Guidance Note for 'Safe Hot Water and Surface Temperature,' which states that the exterior surface temperature of a radiator will not exceed 43oC.

In addition, every LST model within Stelrad's portfolio is painted with an anti-bacterial powder coating on all external surfaces.

Tested by independent microbiological laboratories to the internationally recognised standard JIS Z 2801:2000, the anti-bacterial coating on each model offers an extra defence in the fight against the spread of infection for clinical environments such as hospitals, treatment rooms and nursing homes.

It is also ideally suited to other bacterial contamination sensitive areas such as those used for food preparation in commercial premises and in the home.
