IDEC Electronics are now producing a range of control units that present a flush silhouette appearance to the front of a control panel.
The ideal supplier is surely one who is able, not only, to provide high quality components and products but also one who has the capability of providing suitable technical support, solutions and system integration when called for?.
This is not to ridicule the distributor or wholesaler whose sole purpose is to act as a "supplier only", as in many instances the user of the equipment may well have extensive knowledge to get the most out of the equipment without the need for close support or integration assistance.
In order to meet the total demand of the equipment user market IDEC has restructured its' sales channel and introduced the ISSIP (IDEC Solutions and System Integration Partner).

Stephen Schiller, Managing Director at IDEC UK said "The chosen companies that form the ISSIP's, have been selected based on their technical expertise and / or their ability to provide value added engineering which may be required by the Customer".
Mr Schiller goes on the say "that the ISSIP will be able to offer support on the application, programming and if so required the system integration of not only the IDEC Automation product range which includes the MicroSmart plc, the SmartRelay and also the HG range of graphically and text only displays, but also other 3rd party products which when employed in the system provide the ideal solution to the customer".
"The addition of the ISSP, to the already successful ADA (Active Distributor Agreement) Partners launched in 2001, is long overdue and will allow IDEC to strengthen and build the sales of the Automation product portfolio throughout the UK." says Stephen Schiller, "we have partners covering the length and breadth of the UK all with the appropriate knowledge and ability to meet the demands from the customer".
2006 will see the launch of new products in the IDEC MicroSmart plc family, with new CPUs' offering increased I/O capability, and an improved function set.
There will also be high density analogue I/O modules and improved communication and network options.
Also there will be further expansion in the range of graphical HMIs' available from IDEC.
More information on MicroSmart and the HG displays will be available in the Spring of 2006.
