Danish Radio Chooses IAC For Acoustics
IAC Nordic has won a major order worth of state-of-the-art $1.3M from Danish Radio in Copenhagen.
IAC will design, manufacture and install variable acoustics in three large studios at Danish Radio's new headquarters The contract includes the design and construction of variable acoustic absorbers and reflectors in three studios, all connected to a new Concert Hall
The 'studios' are going to be large, as their names suggest: Orchestra Hall; Rhythmical Studio and Choir Hall.
The acoustic and architectural requirements for this project are particularly demanding.
The acoustic performance of the three studios will be able to be changed by rotating, sliding and opening/closing devices fitted with reflective and absorbent surfaces.
Completion is scheduled for early 2005.
