Land Securities plc, the UK's leading property developer, has opted for noise control solution from IAC for their latest new build project in central London The 3 high rise office block buildings to benefit are 'Bankside 1', '2' and '3', located adjacent to Tate Modern on the south bank

The complete development provides a total of approximately 1.2M square feet gross of high specification office space, including 58,000 square feet of retail space and 14,000 square feet of health club.

The 12-storey Bankside 1 will be the new headquarters for magazine publishing giant IPC Media.

Project Managers Bovis Lend Lease opted for IAC acoustic enclosures for the Generator Halls as IAC's Noise-Lock III panel system complied with the stringent specification issued by Hann Tucker Associates, the acoustic consultants.

Emergency power is a crucial requirement for today's computer-dependent businesses and all three Bankside buildings have emergency power generator halls installed on 'floating floors' on the 12th floor of Bankside 1, and on the 9th floors in the other 2 buildings.

Noise from the diesel generators within these halls will be controlled by the use of custom-built enclosures.

To comply with the external noise criterion from the ventilation and aspiration air to the generator on 'B2' and 'B3', IAC installed purpose made 'splitter elements' built into the panel work.

Richard Lissenborough of IAC Industrial department said: "This contract further confirms IAC's top ranking among noise control suppliers here in the UK.

The fact that we offer products with guaranteed acoustic performance means that our customers can be confident of our ability to meet even the most stringent acoustic specification.".
