Reinforced steel lintels for AQUA
development
IG Lintels has provided reinforced steel lintels for Linden Homes' AQUA development in Poole.
Linden Homes' AQUA development in Poole is a luxury apartment complex comprised of 96 one and two bedroom flats on Dorset's south coast The lintels were specified to provide structural support over many of the windows, allowing the architect to fully realise the challenging nautical theme of the development

Steel lintels from IG Lintels are a highly adaptable modern method of construction; they provide additional structural strength in a wide range of applications, from the porthole windows installed in the Aqua development to radical arches, standard doorways and windows and sun lounges.
The Lintels also include a core of highly efficient CFC free insulation, boosting the U-value of the building and contributing towards compliance with Part L of the building regulations.
Over half of the high-end apartments were sold off plan, with the development's excellent location and adventurous architecture appealing to its target market of investors, professionals and those looking for holiday homes in this exclusive part of the south coast.
The nine storey concrete framed building was built to a nautical theme, emulating the design of an ocean liner.
The balconies and porthole windows, constructed with IG Steel Lintels, complement the stunning views of Poole Harbour, the Purbecks and Brownsea Island the apartments command.
