iLight's intelligent lighting control systems can now interface with NetStreams' DigiLinX distributed audio systems thanks to the release of a new driver.

Simple to configure, the driver allows two-way communication between iLight iCAN systems and DigiLinX IP-based audio and control systems The DigiLinX system distributes audio over CAT5e cable using TCP/IP on a segmented section of an Ethernet network, with no additional networking equipment requirements

It converts audio from a legacy source, in real-time, into uncompressed audio streams in .WAV format.

DigiLinX allows up to 24-bit/96kHz, studio quality audio to be distributed throughout a home or commercial facility, with the level of audio performance effectively being limited only by the quality of the source material.

"We were pleased to cooperate with NetStreams in producing this driver," said iLight technical director Andrew Glossop.

"This is a further example of our continuing commitment to providing seamless integration of our lighting control equipment.".
