Interbuild 2006 is poised for a dramatic take-off in more senses than one because a pair of aerial trapeze artists are to demonstrate their breathtaking skills at the UK's construction exhibition The Gazzelle aerial artists will come tumbling down from a series of mini-cranes at the NEC, when Interbuild 2006 takes place from April 23-27

The acrobats, who use a combination of ropes, ribbons and hoops to create their spectacular display, have been booked by GGR-UNIC and are certain to add colour and excitement to the five-day event.

Matthew Deasey, the marketing manager at GGR-UNIC, said: "The aerial artists will suspend themselves from one of the five cranes we will be exhibiting.

"They tumble from the cranes using hoops or wrapped in silks and they do not have a safety net.

But it is perfectly safe as Gazzelle are among the world's best at what they do and it is sure to be an amazing spectacle".

Gazzelle will be performing on the hour every hour throughout Interbuild 2006, which brings the whole of the construction industry together under one roof.

Genevieve Monastesse and Clare Anderson form the Gazzelle aerial troupe and have a combined acrobatic experience of around 20 years.

They have performed all over Europe, Canada and in Australia, working for clients such as Guinness, Bentley and Volkswagen, and have excited the crowds at events including Glastonbury Festival and even in nightclubs such as Ministry of Sound.

GGR-UNIC is the UK's leading supplier of glass lifting equipment and Matthew Deasey explained: "Our stand will be about far more than the acrobatic performances.

"GGR-UNIC is the leading provider of vacuum lifting equipment and mini cranes to the UK and Irish construction industries.

Our crane hire division was established in 2001 and now operates a fleet of more than 20 mini crawler cranes with capacities ranging from one tonne to three tonnes.

"Mini cranes are a technological breakthrough.

Incredibly compact, yet with the capacity and reach of much larger machines, they are invaluable for interior and restricted access, both on construction sites and for carrying out restoration work in listed buildings".

He added: "We will also be exhibiting glazing robots, which are becoming more and more popular in the construction industry because of the vast amounts of glass used in many large projects.

"Our glazing robots are designed for holding onto large sheets of glass and precisely moving them into place.

"Architects love the robots because they allow ever more complex designs in glass. Request free introductory details about products from Interbuild - The Building Show ...

Many projects would otherwise be incredibly difficult for contractors to complete.".
