Seek professional support says Interbuild
Following recent story about a builder who took drastic action by demolishing his handiwork after non-payment, Interbuild is calling on tradesmen to seek professional support.
"As the oldest national buildings heritage pressure group, SPAB is the perfect and most prestigious organisation to collaborate with on the launch of our new Conservation area".
"I am pleased to announce their involvement with the show and look forward to working with SPAB and their incredible wealth of knowledge to inform, educate and advise on the conservation and repair of historic structures".
The new Conservation Area in Hall 4 will act as a focus for businesses and visitors concerned with preserving the rich fabric of the built environment.

Builders top tipple is now wine
Independent research commissioned by Interbuild, suggests that the stereotypical beer-drinking builder is a myth and actually the trades' preferred tipple is wine.
The feature will consider both the historic and general use structures that define today's UK and will incorporate an informative programme of special events, seminars and workshops.
Experts will also be on hand to offer free advice on specific project requirements.
In essence, this valuable addition will provide practical, in-depth information on conservation methods and strategies, as well as demonstrating how to develop buildings while preserving them for the future.
"An essential part of conserving our environment is looking after and protecting our current building stock," says SPAB's Secretary and Chief Executive, Philip Venning.
"Building conservation also goes a long way to reducing the UK carbon footprint".
"For example the BRE has estimated that a Victorian house can contain the stored energy equivalent of 15,000 litres of petrol which would be lost if it were demolished".
"Through our collaboration with Interbuild, we will be able to bring the importance of conservation and its role within the construction industry into the spotlight".
Other studies have shown that renovation work can create 15% more income in the building industry than the equivalent new build, so highlighting the increasing importance of the RMI sector.
The latest figures from Interbuild reveal a massive GBP1.2 billion increase on the value of 'live' visitor projects underway during the 2007 show.
Visitors were working on active projects worth a staggering GBP17.4 billion and representing a GBP1.2 billion increase on the previous year.
These figures suggest that audience buying-power was at an all-time high, and with the launch of Interbuild as a yearly event, organisers are confident this signifies the start of a new era for the show. Request free introductory details about products from Interbuild - The Building Show ...
