Architects Forum at Interbuild 2008

An Interbuild - The Building Show product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Aug 25, 2008

World-leading architectural practices including Zaha Hadid Architects, Foreign Office Architects and Gensler are set to headline an new show feature at this year's Interbuild show.

The Architects' Forum - Interbuild's centre-piece event for industry professionals - will play host to five days of keynote addresses with guests from world-class practices including: Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM), Studio Egret West, Waugh Thistleton, Sheppard Robson, Alan Phillips Architects and ZedFactory.

Located in Hall 5's structural section and chaired by Grant Gibson - a well-respected industry journalist - the Architects' Forum will be the prime attraction for visiting architects and a hotbed of debate throughout the show.

Senior representatives from several leading architectural practices have been earmarked to deliver a series of talks that will assess the success of a number of real life projects.

Taking a 'lessons learned' approach, the format will provide visitors with valuable insights exploring the complexities of managing design teams, amid the current challenges facing building and architecture.

Among the packed programme of presentations, Alan Phillips together with Bill Dunster will provide a first-hand review of the 'Portzed' scheme in Shoreham Port, while Paul Monaghan, Director at AHMM Architects, has unique insights into the development of Liverpool's Unity Tower.

Grant Gibson says: "The speaker line-up reads like a who's who from the world of architecture, but it also demonstrates that these firms are serious about sharing their professional expertise, knowledge and insights with the wider industry.

"Interbuild provides the perfect platform to reach thousands of visitors and the Architects' Forum will prove a suitably impressive environment to really set people talking".
