New dates for Interbuild 2009

An Interbuild - The Building Show product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jan 8, 2009

In response to feedback from exhibitors at the 2008 show, Interbuild is moving dates this year and will run from Sunday 18th October to Wednesday 21st October.

David Pierpoint, Event Director at Interbuild, commented: "2008 was the first show to go annual and it was a great success, with over 32,000 visitors and 700 exhibitors".

"We have decided to change the dates for the 2009 show to avoid the autumn half term break and ensure we attract even more visitors this year".

As well as moving dates, this year's show will be four rather than five days.

David Pierpoint continued: "The decision to make the show four days was also in response to exhibitor feedback".

"They feel that they can pack the same amount of business into the four days, plus the expense of having staff on the road is reduced".

"The changes to the dates for this year, combined with a new format and a number of new features that will be announced soon, will make Interbuild 2009 an unmissable event for both exhibitors and visitors".

"It now offers a proven annual platform to build and strengthen relationships, showcase the latest product innovations, listen, learn, debate and demonstrate, as well as engage in real live business".

The 700 exhibitors at last year's show were a mix of established brands like Stanley, DeWalt, Ford, MTech, BandQ, 3M and Dyson, and newcomers like Ecological Building Systems, who won the Best New Product Award.

The strong line up of exhibitors attracted the top decision makers from the industry's leading companies; 10 of the top 20 architectural practices, 16 of the top 20 builders merchants and 18 of the top 20 building contractors.
