Truck load of scrappage deals at Interbuild

An Interbuild - The Building Show product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team May 25, 2009

Leading Commercial Vehicle manufacturer Vauxhall will be using this year's Interbuild to invite visitors to scrap their old vehicles and claim at least two grand off the price of a new Vauxhall van.

The 'deals for new wheels' scrappage scheme - announced in the Chancellor's Budget - promises to give punters knock down prices on any new car or van when they trade in vehicles (up to 3.5 tons) registered before 31 August 1999.

Simon Culley, Marketing Manager of Commercial Vehicles at Vauxhall, says: "Vauxhall is delighted to be exhibiting at Interbuild to offer the scrappage scheme to visitors.

This is a really positive step forward for the CV sector and we are sure that the Chancellor's plans will benefit the trades.

"Interbuild is a must attend event for Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles with its wide audience of industry professionals.

By bringing the right selection of vehicles to meet the wants and needs of this audience we always manage to get excellent levels of data capture and valuable sales leads.

With the scrappage scheme in place we are sure Interbuild Onsite is going to be a roaring success".

David Pierpoint, Event Director at Interbuild, adds: "During the hard times it's essential to keep yourself on the road and making money.

So the incentive could be just the ticket for visitors looking to scrap their old heaps and get an affordable new van".

Set to be a real driving force behind this year's Interbuild Onsite, Vauxhall will be exhibiting a core selection of its medium and large vans, such as the Vivaro and Movano - as well as popular car-derived vans such as the Combo and Astravan.
