Interbuild new product awards

An Interbuild - The Building Show product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jun 1, 2009

Interbuild, the UK's leading construction show, is looking for the best of the building industry's products and innovations with the launch of its coveted annual New Product Awards.

Open to exhibitors only, the call for entries will launch on the 1st June and Interbuild is urging manufacturers to enter for a chance to battle it out and win one of the highly sought after awards.

David Pierpoint, Event Director at Interbuild, says: "Last year's awards were a roaring success, with an unprecedented number of entries from all corners of the industry".

""It is great to see that despite the difficult market conditions, the industry is still producing so many new products and innovative, new solutions to everyday challenges.

These companies are raising the bar for the industry and we are proud to be able to recognise these achievements in such a positive way.

There are nine categories to enter this year, three of which are new for 2009 and include 'Best New Sustainable Product' and 'Best New Product for the Education sector'.

The awards will represent current trends in the industry and reward companies who are breaking new ground in these areas.

For the first time the awards will be truly interactive, with visitors voting for their favourite product online before the show.

A full list of categories and details of how to enter are available atthe website.

Last year's overall winner, Ecological Building Systems UK, swept the board by winning both the Best New Product and the Best New Eco Product Award with its innovative new Eco Wall.

Tom Barbour, Managing Director at Ecological Building Systems, commented on the success: "Interbuild far exceeded our expectations".

"The coverage and the profile we received from winning the Eco New Product Award and the overall Best New Product for our Eco Wall system is outstanding".

"The awards gave us great credibility".

The deadline for entries is the 9th September and voting will open for visitors on the 29th.

All shortlisted entries will be displayed in The Construction Forum Theatre, Interbuild's free, case study focussed conference, with a special awards ceremony taking place in the Forum on Monday 19th October.
