The Institute of Acoustics has appointed Kevin Macan-Lind as its new Chief Executive.

The latest developments in Noise research will be discussed at a meeting on 24 May organised by the The Institute of Acoustics' Environmental Noise Group in conjunction with DEFRA.
Kevin started his professional life in banking working for the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group and Barclays.
He has many years' experience of business administration which included the running of his own successful publishing and event management business for fifteen years.
Two years ago the business magazine publishing and exhibition side of his business was sold and he was appointed Managing Director of an established health-products mail order company, based in Hertfordshire.
