Powerlon FeltPlus secures the roof

Building membranes producer, Industrial Textiles and Plastics Ltd., (ITP) launched a new BBA certified (no 03/4036) roofing underlay in style at Interbuild 2004.
Says Mr Henderson: "The lads all like using the Powerlon FeltPlus because it is so much lighter and easier to work with then traditional felts".
"The rolls have more material on them then the old types, but as they are lighter, they are really easy to handle on the roof".
"We also find that it has a lot better tear resistance than the old types of felt".
"For this project there were no building regulations saying we had to use this product, but we are using the FeltPlus out of choice, because it makes our job so much easier." The Powerlon FeltPlus is fully certified by the BBA.
It is a new, third generation material that offers superior performance to traditional underlays.
Its vapour permeability is 100% better than 1F type bitumen.
The Powerlon FeltPlus can be used in conventional pitch roofs with through ventilations.
The roof construction can be supported or unsupported.
It can also be used in with plywood supported warm roofs with through ventilation.
Mr Henderson sourced his material at the York branch of Burton Roofing Merchants .
